Parties and Doctors

Happy end-of-February everyone. We are pumped about the month of March and the Easter season (I went to my first Ash Wednesday Mass last night -- it was cool) in the Murphy household. I haven't blogged in a few weeks, so get ready for the recap:

First: This is my first Lenten Season, so I have given up cold beers and rare ribeyes. Dad has given up ice cream...so he's going to be extra cheerful after dinners. Mom, hmmm, we aren't yet certain of what she's given up for Lent...check back and I will continue to investigate.

Next: Here I am with my new bud Jack. Mom had a par-tay a few weeks back and Jack buzzed in from Virginia. He's still pretty young, so I had to teach him about things like dogs, spitting up on guests, and ill-timed poops. He's a fast learner.

It was a great party. I got to hang out with some older kids too like Kendal, Tanner, and Luke. Thanks for coming everyone, and we need to do it again.

We went to Big Canoe for Grandpa Stu's birthday party last weekend. It was great: We went to Brooks Brothers outlet, ate a chili burger at some tiny Dawsonville joint and ate chocolate cake for 3 straight days....wait, that was Dad...I ate oatmeal, sweet potatoes and peas.

The best part was lunch at the Club. We got to sample Auntie JP's wedding menu....outstanding. Pictured below is Dad and I just before I was so rudely rushed out of the Club for the aforementioned ill-timed poop....sorry Mom and Dad.

New Trick #27: riding Dad's shoulders while styling his hair....awesome.
Its been a great few weeks, but I'm sick again with another Dr. Maxey diagnosed "virus of the week"...but she said its a 24 hour bug and I should be better by the weekend.
I hope everyone is doing well out there and getting excited about Spring. See you soon...CDM.

Today was a Zoo Day (and the Varsity Day)

Hello Everyone-
My first tooth came in last week. It's in front on the bottom (as pictured below). Dad calls it my snaggle-tooth. It hurt like heck coming in...boy am I glad I got that out of the way. I'm already chewing my oatmeal and veggies with it. Next on the menu...Ribeyes and baked potatoes...mmmm.
I went to the Zoo today with Mom, Dad, Grandma Babs and Grandpa Stu. It was terrific. Mom showed me the Orangutans...

...Dad let me ride on his shoulders -- until I yakked on his head...

See below...yep, it's a pretty awesome smile...
Oh, sweet Greasy-V! We stopped (of course) at the Varsity for lunch. Chili dogs, cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, and a frosted orange. We had a fantastic Sunday.
