Cereal, High Chairs, Jumpers and Play Dates

Happy MLK Jr. Day from Atlanta!

2009 is off to a bang for me so far. Mom started a new feeding technique that involved rifling mushy food at my mouth on the end of a paddle-shaped tool she calls a "spoon". She started with rice cereal, but I prefer oatmeal. I was rewarded with a new jumper (pictured with a curious Deuce below) after a superior cereal eating performance (pictured above). This jumper actually hangs from a door jam, rendering that particular doorway completely useless -- but I like it.Wow...Meriwether, sweet Meriwether....we had an amazing play date a couple of weeks back, but I haven't heard from her since. I told myself I wouldn't wait by the phone, but just look at us. I haven't given up hope. The King has a new throne. Grandpa Stu assembled a beautiful and elevated perch from upon which I can supervise the adult table during their solid foods meals. Mom and Dad call it my High chair, but I'd rather not make that big a deal of it...Throne will do nicely. As of Sunday, Miss Meriwether hadn't called yet, and a man can't wait around forever...

I had a wonderful play date with Miss Emmy. As you will note by her advanced sitting position, she's an older and more mature woman. It was great fun. My social calendar will definitely begin to get complicated if this play date trend continues.

Thanks for reading everyone, have a great week....CDM.

I love the ZOO

With my new Zoo membership in hand (Thanks Uncle Evans), Mom, Dad and I hit the zoo on New Years' Eve. It was brutally cold, but the animals were out and about.
Where are those pesky gorillas...I don't see any, do you?
Grrrr, I did find a tiger though....
Mom and I loved the elephants. We also saw an awesome Leo the Lion (not pictured). ..that was our favorite...we ARE Leos you know.
Catch you later everyone....(the next time Dad finally boots up the blogger machine -- s/b mid February if I had to guess.)

Christmas: Part 3 of 3

Just when I thought Christmas was over, we went to Aunt Meg's and Uncle Josh's for a big Christmas dinner and Secret Santa party....and guess what....I had like 6 secret Santas.

High-O Silver, Away...here I'm pictured with my trusty steed. He likes carrots.
Grandma K and Grandpa D went crazy...Molly (pictured in the background) cannot believe her glowing little eyes...
Thanks for a great Secret Santa dinner party Aunt Meg and Uncle Josh.

Uncle Skip, we all missed missed you sooooo much, and we can't wait to see you ASAP!

Thank you to all of my special family and friends that made this a spectacular first Christmas.

Yours Truly,

CDM

Christmas: Part 2 of 3

Later that Christmas Day, Mom, Dad and I put on some snazzy duds and headed up the mountain to Grandma Babs and Grandpa Stu's. Notice below as the camera actually caught me officially kicking off the festivities...Merry Christmas everyone and let's get the party started!
Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Ethan had a special-special day on Christmas. First off, Uncle E got me my very own 2009 membership to the Zoo.
Next, Aunt JP got this cool armchair with my name on it for the man cave at home.
The best part of the day did not happen until after my bedtime. Uncle Ethan proposed to Aunt Jennifer.....and she said YES! Congratulations kids, we are all super excited for you both. Uncle Evans, welcome to the family.

Christmas: Part 1 of 3

Hello everyone,
Cooper here, and happy new year. I've been recovering from an incredible Christmas season, but I'm back. I kicked off the celebration on Christmas Eve with a beautiful Mass at Cathedral of Christ the King with Grandma K, Grandpa D, Mom, Dad, Aunt Meg and Uncle Josh....well, actually the seat were all take an hour before Mass and we had to split up. After Mass Mom, Dad, G-ma K and G-pa D went out for a big family style Italian dinner....mmmmmmm.

Looking good Mommy! Here, you will see that I am waiting breathlessly for the fat guy in the red suit...And triumph!! Santa came, he saw, he conquered. The Jumperoo is possibly the greatest toy a kid could ever get for Christmas.
My activity table (pictured below) speaks Spanish to me...Gracias amigo!
